How to Sync (or backup and Restore) your Data on Notes App with Google Drive?

To Sync your Notes, follow the given steps for your version of the app, you can check the version from the settings of the app:

For versions above 3.6.3:

Steps to sync your notes:

  1. Tap the Three dots icon on the top right corner of the app.
  2. Select the Backup/Restore option from the menu.
  3. Now enable the Google Backup and Restore and sign in to your Google account.
  4. Finally, click on the Sync button.

If you want to move your notes to another device, you first need to sync your notes on the current device. After syncing, disable the "Google Backup and Restore" option on that device. Keep in mind that you can sign in to your account on only one device at a time. Once you sign in on the new device, you will need to follow the same steps to sync your notes on the new device.

NoteAlthough the backup and restore or sync system works perfectly, there may be instances where poor network connectivity or technical issues prevent your notes from being backed up to your Google Drive. To ensure that your notes are successfully backed up, always look for the "sync done Successfully" message. Additionally, you can verify the backup by going to your Google Drive, signing in to the same account, and searching for the notes_database.db file. If this file is not present, it means the syncing process failed. In such cases, double-check that you followed the steps correctly. If the issue persists, contact the developer for assistance.

For versions 3.6.3 or older:

To take backup of your notes

  1. Tap the Three dots icon on the top right corner of the app.
  2. Select the Backup/Restore option from the menu.
  3. Now enable the Google Backup and Restore and sign in to the account that you used to take backup.
  4. Click on the backup button.

Note: Please remember, if you want to move your notes from one device to another device you need to backup your notes from your first device and then “disable the backup and restore” from that device because you can sign in using one account, on one device at a time and after that you have to follow the restore steps given below on the second device.

To restore your notes

  1. Tap the Three dots icon on the top right corner of the app.
  2. Select the Backup/Restore option from the menu.
  3. Now enable the Google Backup and Restore and sign in to the account that you used to take backup.
